While reviewing the standards regarding "Heredity, Growth and Development" I found that I hadn't addressed animal behaviors that influenced reproduction. This short lesson was an effort to engage students in reasoning about the needs of such adaptations, and provided a lead-in to our upcoming "Change Over Time" unit.
